It's baffling to me that the handbell symbols would be available as text characters, but wouldn't be offered as a palette like other articulations, but you can make a palette from them! 1. In the Palettes pane on the left, click the Add Palettes button, then Create custom palette, and name it Handbells 2. Select a note, and press Ctrl-T (Windows) or ⌘T (Mac) or click "Staff Text" in the Text palette 3. Triple-click the "Staff Text" that was just added, and click the [α] button in the bottom left corner to open the Special Characters window 4. Click the Musical Symbols tab and select Handbells on the left 5. Click the first symbol (Martellato) to insert that character 6. In the Inspector pane, increase the text size to 24pt 7. In the Inspector pane, increase the Minimum distance to 2.00sp 8. While holding Ctrl-Shift (Windows) or ⌘-Shift (Mac), drag the Mart symbol into your new blank palette 9. Right-click the newly-inserted Mart symbol in the palette and choose Properties, then rename it to match the label in the Special Characters window (Martellato in this case) 10. Triple-click the symbol above the note to edit the text, click the [α] button to open the Special Characters window, and repeat steps 5-10 with each available symbol 11. Click the [...] button above your new palette and choose Palette Properties, then check "Show grid" and reduce the cell size as appropriate. You'll probably need to tweak some details, but this should get you started.

This performance would be a lot better ifn they had more fun playing it! Great job!

This used to be our Christmas concert closer piece for the church handbell group I was in in high school. Exactly as I remembered it. Honestly brought a tear to my eye, a lot of memories practicing, cranking up the tempo, nailing down which hand went where to pick up or pluck or mallet in the second verse in the bass clef. This time of year would be around when we were practicing. Thank you.
